We knew it was bound to happen, Alabama is now the near unanimous No.1 team after their blowout against No. 9 Tennessee this past weekend. It’s those teams that aren’t too far behind Alabama on the rankings that are stirring up some conversation.

After the Crimson Tide, Ohio State hold the No. 2 spot after their defeat against No. * Wisconsin. What’s more important is that Michigan leaped over Clemson in the rankings after Clemson barley slide out of their game in overtime against unranked North Carolina. If the rankings that currently stand hold true when College Football Playoff rankings are released in two weeks, there could be a major showdown between Michigan and Ohio State on November 26th.

The other controversy is that were not sure that that game in November will be an elimination game. There’s a good chance that the ACC, Big 12 and Pac-12 will all have champions with at least one loss. This year may have one conference with two spots in the playoffs.
