On Monday, AT&T got clearance to use drones to test the network in the AT&T stadium. Before the inaugural kick off of this program, stadium employees would take a week to inspect every seat for network weaknesses. The drones save time and money for the stadium by getting hooking up to the software files and checking the network in a day. Art Pregler, the AT&T drone program director, mentioned that as far as he knows, no one else is doing this.

AT&T’s drone can also provide a safer way to check cell towers. The machine can fly hundreds of feet, reducing risk for technicians.
