There’s much debate over the decisions made after the state of North Carolina took a stance blocking the protection of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals in an academic arena.

The NCAA, along with the Democratic presidential nominee feels this act is discriminatory and as a result of these recent events, the decision has been made to move NCAA championship games of several sports to other venues outside the state.

Conversely, according to a member of the Republican Party, the NCAA approves of other matters relative to gender specific facilities and sleeping arrangements while athletic teams are traveling.

Is the fabric of our nation’s morals and values eroding as this social change spreads across the United States or should we embrace the change and find a way to make the system work for everyone? Is the foundation of fairness and inclusion being compromised within society or within the NCAA?
